NZ EQUINE RESEARCH FOUNDATION BOOK BECOMES POPULAR

The New Zealand Equine Research Foundation recently received a request for one of the books it publishes from time to time to be translated into Arabic and French.

The request was made by a Charitable Trust based in Britain. This Trust has as one of its objective the care and welfare of horses in the Northern African countries around the Mediterranean.

The Trust considered that the book "Tendon Strain in Horses" by Dr Kathy Gibson contained very useful information for the caring for horses in these countries and requested that it be able to translate this book in the common languages of this region of the world.

The New Zealand Equine Research Foundation has, over recent years, published 10 books on subjects of importance to the NZ Horse Industry. These are written so that people without Scientific Training can read and easily understand them. All have been able to be distributed free of cost to about 15,000 people in the NZ Horse Industry thanks to the generous financial support we have received from various companies and organisations in our industry.

These books have been very well received and many have been purchased by organizations in other countries thus raising the overseas profile of the NZ Horse Industry.

We are at present working on several more of these books and with the continuing support of NZ horse organizations and companies hope to be able to bring these books to you over the next few years.
