"Managing your horse's performance"
The NZ Equine Research Foundation is delighted to have Dr Kate Savage of Melbourne University accept its invitation to speak at this year's Bamac Lecture Series. We are trialling a new format this year with one speaker presenting four fascinating papers on topics of interest to all horse people over an afternoon near you.
We plan to hold lectures from 1pm to 5pm in Auckland, the Waikato, Palmerston North, Christchurch and one other South Island venue from the 14th to the 18th of June 2009. Watch out for further advertising of this event coming soon.
Kate is Head of Equine Clinical Services at the Wenibee Clinic of the University of Melbourne where she originally completed both her veterinary degree and PhD. In January 1992, she started a residency in Equine Internal Medicine in Virginia, USA and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Specialist in Equine Medicine) in 1995.
Kate will be presenting lectures covering conditions of the equine respiratory and cardiac systems and a repeat of her wonderful presentation from Equitana 2009 on Gastric Ulceration that will be of interest to anyone that is involved with horses. Kate will also be able to answer a whole range of questions that you have been yearning to ask an authority for years!
